Lest We Forget - Commemorating the Great War Casualties

ALL PROFITS BEING SPLIT EQUALLY BETWEEN TWO CHARITIES WORKING WITH EX-SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN IN OUR COMMUNITY

Five books are being produced remembering the men from the North West Leicestershire District that gave their lives in the service of their country during the Great War.

The Historical Society have produced the fifth book in the series covering the villages of Bagworth, Ellistown, Heather, Ibstock, Nailstone, Newton Burgoland, Normanton-le-Heath, Odstone, Snarestone and Swepstone. The book includes many men that for various reasons do not feature on any of the local memorials and numerous men awarded the Distinguished Service and Military Medals for the acts they performed for their comrades.

Foreward by Major General AJG POLLARD CB CBE DL,. President of the Royal Anglian Regiment Association.
